Butu Mag as a project spawned from a desire to tell stories outside the contemporary, its ethos is rooted in the aim to bring fresh eyes to works, artists, and narratives just beyond the surface. A deep focus on productivity and the mechanics of creation has led us to interrogate process as a concept. All the artists and voices featured in this issue of the magazine hold their creative process very close to their heart. In an effort to further illuminate where great work comes from, they have opened up their working processes in this issue.
